Hydrogen-bond-linked photocatalyst of g-C 3 N 4 /3, 4, 9, 10-perylenetetracarboxylic acid anhydride with different bay-substitutents

To form stable the graphitic carbon nitride (g-C 3 N 4 ) composite photocatalyst with high repeatability, the hydrogen bonding composite was facilely built by g-C 3 N 4 with two perylene anhydride derivatives (3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic acid anhydride (PTCDA) and 1,6,7,12-tetrachloroperylene-3,4,9,10- tetracarboxylic acid (TClPTCDA)). Intermolecular hydrogen bond was confirmed by analysis of FT-IR, XPS and DSC data. In contrast with their raw materials, the composite photocatalysts would significantly improve the photocatalytic activity to rhodamine B under visible light radiation. Furthermore, the TClPTCDA/g-C 3 N 4 (TClP-g) prossesses higher photocatalytic activity than that of PTCDA/g-C 3 N 4 (P-g) under same experimental condition.
