Topically applicable composition, in particular, for use as a skin bleaching agent characterised in that the above comprises an effective amount of at least one compound of formula (I), or a mixture of such compounds and/or acid-addition compounds thereof, where X = NH or a simple bond and n = 2, 3 or 4, preferably 2 or 3 and use thereof or bleaching skin, for the depigmentation of age marks and for evening out irregularities in skin colouration. The invention further relates to dermatologically effective compositions comprising at least one disulphide of general formula (I) and at least one additional skin care agent.
