FIELD: materials for color dichroic polarizers. SUBSTANCE: organic dye is used in material for polarizing coatings as film-forming component. Dye belongs to cationic dye or dyes which have polar groups (hydroxyl-, carbonyl, amino-carboxyl, sulfo-, sulfonamide or phosphonic groups, for example, I-Iv groups, given in the description of the invention, or their mixtures) which are capable of forming stable lypotropic liquid-crystal phases. Besides dyes, the surface-active matters and antioxidants are used in material with the following content of components, in mass %: film-forming component, i. e., organic dye of I-IV type or their mixture - 5,0-30,0; antioxidants - 0,01-1,0; and/or surface active matters - 0,1-10,0; solvent is the rest. The material permits to get dichroic light polarizers with high dichroic relation (12-23 in comparison with 3 for prototype). Moreover, polarizing coatings may be made at any surface, such as hydrophilic, and hydrophobic ones. Material also permits to use standard equipment for making uniform coatings, for example, polygraph equipment. EFFECT: improved efficiency.
