Supplementation of Bacillus subtills (PB6) along with Essential Nutrients in Highly Bioavailable form Enhances Performance of Broiler Chickens
摘要:
This study compares the effect of probiotics {Bacillus subtilis, PB6), vitamins (fat-soluble), minerals (M), and amino acids (A) combination (Altum~(TM) Dry) and a commercial product having minerals and amino acids (Product M-l-A) on the performance of broiler birds supplemented through drinking water. A total of 252, Vencobb 430 birds were segregated into control group and two treatment groups (T1, Altum-1g/L and T2, Product M+A-4mL/L). At the end of first week, T1 showed higher body weight (BW) among the tested groups. Similarly, at the end of 35 days, Tl showed highest BW of 1833g compared to control group and T2. Among the groups, Tl showed the least FCR of 1.54 which was statistically significant (P<0.05). No significant difference in the carcass traits, dysbacteriosis and intestinal lesion scores was observed in any of the groups (P>0.05). On testing in Tl treated water, all ingredients including fat-soluble vitamins in solubilized form were noticed, suggesting higher bioavailability. These results indicate that ingredients contained in Altum had better bioavailability which positively reflected in performance of birds.
