The fungicidal actIvity of these compounds is due to their ability to form chelates wi th the essential metals, in which th e fungus needs in its metabolisms. Owing to th e wide ra nge of medicinal properties of thiosemicarbazi de and thio semi carbazones and their ability to form chelates with the metal ions, we undert ook the synthesi s and characterizati on of some metal complexes of N ' ni cotinoyl-N 4 -benzoyl-3-thlosemi carbazide (structure I) and screened them for their antifungal, antibacte ri al and in-vitro antitumor activity.
