The present invention provides a dichroic dye composition and its application. The dichroic dye composition having a high order parameter and good miscibility can be applied to the liquid crystal guest-host composition. The guest-host liquid crystal composition containing a dichroic dye composition within the 420-680nm wavelength range, the absorption curve having the following properties: a.2≤ (T1 + T2) /△T≤10;b.T1-T2|≤0.5 ; c.0 <△ T≤0.2, guest-host liquid crystal device using the liquid crystal composition can be realized a high contrast display. The present invention further provides a guest-host liquid crystal comprising a liquid crystal composition containing the dichroic dye composition of the display device.
