The degradable polymer composition described comprises a mixture of a chemically saturated and normally stable polymer, such as polyethylene, by a polymer or copolymer chemically unsaturated and less stable, such as a block copolymer of styrene-butadiene, or by the natural rubber, with an active antioxidant agent for a limited period and a latent pro-oxidant such as an organic salt of a transition metal, such as cobalt naphthenate. The joint presence of the antioxidant and pro-oxidant provides an induction period before happening a sudden loss of physical strength, this induction period can be leveraged as the duration of effective life of the polymer composition. The polymer composition also preferably includes the filler particles consist of a material directly biosensing such as natural starch, a derivative of natural starch, a natural protein or a natural cellulose product or a powdered sugar which melting point is higher than the processing temperature of the host polymer composition. Thus, the biological splitting, which occurs in natural environments or in places specially bioactive which border urban waste composting sites and which are subject molecular fragments created by the early oxidative scission of molecular chains chemically saturated polymer, is accelerated by the presence of such filler particles.
