Describes the structure of β-glucan oligomer from laminarin and its effect on human monocytes to inhibit the proliferation of U937 cells. Analysis of the average degree of polymerization value of the Eisenia bicyclis; Nuclear magnetic resonance findings; Inhibitory activity exhibited by the monocyte-conditioned medium precultured in the presence of a fraction of β-glucan oligomer from laminarin against the proliferation of human myeloid leukemia U937 cells.
