Time: An Imaginary Spatial Dimension or: Life Occurs in the No-time of a Continuously Changing Present

First of all I wish to thank the people of the American Society for Cybernetics for the distinction that you have bestowed on me. Regrettably it has several years since we have seen each other and I take this distinction as an expression of your lasting friendship. As an act of appreciation and respect for you, my friends at the ASC, I wish to say a few words in relation to some reflections that I and my colleague Ximena Davila Yanez have been developing in relation to what we call "the biological-cultural matrix of human existence and the science and art of ontological thinking." In the year 2000, Ximena and I created the "Matriztic Institute" as a center for research in the biological-cultural nature of humanness with the aim of expanding our understanding of the relational-operational domain in which humanness arose, is daily realized, and conserved. I will not attempt to develop all these notions in this short note; I shall only speak of them indirectly, thus connecting to their operational roots in the understanding of the biology of cognition and the biology of love. As I do this I am implicitly grounding my reflections on four systemic laws
