New rigid-chain copoly(naphthoyleneimidobenzimidazoles) and their films

; ; ; ; Russian acad. sci., Nesmeyanov inst. organoelement compounds, Moscow 117813, RUSSIE, FEDERATION DENew copoly(naphthoyleneimidobenzimidazoles) were synthesized on the basis of 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride, 5(6)-amino-2-(p-aminophenyl)benzimidazole, and aromatic rigid-rod diamines. The strength parameters of films based on these polymers increase sharply both in the initial and in an oriented state if the material contains 20-40 mol % of rodlike fragments.
