Ferulic acid is a natural antioxidant and an internationally recognized anti-cancer substance in recent years. In this paper, the research progress of ferulic acid efficacy, the analytical methods of phenolic acids, and ferulic acid in alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, Huangjiu, fruit wine and Baijiu (Chinese liquor)) was researched, which provided scientific basis for the saying "moderate drinking benefits human health". The difference and formation mechanism of ferulic acid in alcoholic beverage were expounded, the method for improving ferulic acid content in alcoholic beverage was researched, which could provide theoretical guidance and method reference for the research of polyphenols in alcoholic beverage in the future.
