Presents information on a study which found that the reduction of heavy metals such as Cr(VI) and Cr(III), may be a useful detoxification mechanism for phytoremediation. Usage of X-ray spectroscopy; Difference cited between Cr in leaf and petiole when compared to Cr in roots.
