The Synchronous Oscillator in Frequency Generation : an Overview

The Synchronous Oscillator (SO) as a frequency generation device is presented, and the impact of the technology on the circuit behavior is discussed. Several prototypes, either in bipolar, CMOS or SiGe BiCMOS technologies are presented and discussed.
