Algodo colorido cultivado em diferentes populaes de plantas no Serto de Alagoas
摘要:
The objective of this work was to evaluate the growth, development, productivity and fiber quality of colored cotton grown in different plant populations in the Serto in Alagoas. The experiment was carried out at IFAL, Campus Piranhas, using a randomized block design. For the growth variables, a 5x6 factorial scheme was used, and for the production variables, a one-factor scheme, with four replications. Factors were composed of plant populations (125,000, 62,500, 41,666, 31,250 and 25,000 plants ha-1) and evaluation periods (15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 days after emergence). Plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, number of vegetative and reproductive branches, number of apples, dry mass of leaves, stem and fruits, cotton seed and cotton fiber yield and technological characteristics of quality of the plant were evaluated. Higher plant density alters the morphology of cotton plants, causing a reduction in plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, number of vegetative and reproductive branches, number of apples, dry mass of leaves, stem and fruits. The plant population indicated for the cultivar BRS Jade in the backwoods in Alagoas is 125,000 plants ha-1, as it provided better plant development and higher fiber quality.
