摘要：

The disturbances of the arterial and venous circulation in the lower extremities, and their sequelae have been examined in 392 subjects (mean age 77 years). It has been found that arterial obliteration occurs in 27.6% of the men, with a 5 times greater frequency than in woman. Venous circulatory disturbances (36.4%) is similarly more frequent in men. The problems of prevention, diagnosis and therapy are discussed by the author, with special respect to everyday practice.
