A fuse-less explosive projectile (1) has an impact detonation material (50) in the projectile tip, an explosive charge (60) in a cavity (13) of the projectile body (10) and optionally a tracer (64), the impact detonation material (50) being connected to the explosive charge (60). The novelty is that: (a) the projectile has an impact sensitive structured secondary explosive (50) as detonating material beyond the fragmentation projectile body (10); (b) the explosive charge (60) is a main charge which fills most of the projectile body cavity (13); and (c) the structured secondary explosive (50) is located between a projectile cowl (24) and the projectile body (10, 18).
