The invention relates to a process for preparing microcrystals of a water-insoluble substance displaying an affinity for phospholipids according to Claim 1 of the main patent. According to the invention, the organic solvent or solvents is/are evaporated off from a solution of phospholipids and the said substance, and the film obtained after evaporation of the solvent or solvents is resuspended in an aqueous solution with vigorous stirring; the said substance being chosen from substances which are antagonists of "platelet-activating factor"-acether. The invention also relates to microcrystals obtained by carrying out the process, as well as to pharmaceutical compositions containing the said microcrystals as active principle, in particular liquid pharmaceutical compositions packaged in injectable form or in a form for spraying.
