The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for moisturizing skin comprising a single extract of rose herb, or a complex extract of rose herb, centella asiatica, tea tree, and machi-hyun as an active ingredient. The skin moisturizing composition of the present invention increases the production of hyaluronic acid and promotes gene expression of filaggrin and hyaluronan synthase-3, thereby excellent moisturizing. Since it is effective, it can be usefully used for skin moisturizing purposes in cosmetics, food, and quasi-drug fields. In addition, the composition of the present invention is not only very safe for the human body, but also has excellent stability.
