FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: as a transplant for extrascleral revascularization one should use transplant out of umbilical cord vein containing biologically active materials, highly angiogenous substances, in particular. The latter is represented by xenotransplants of swine reduced spleen or thymus. The method enables to prolong terms of transplant's functioning as a depot of biologically active substances and valuable plastic material. The presence of highly angiogenous substances inside the transplant enables to maintain high activity of angiogenesis for prolonged period of time. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl
