The present invention relates to compounds of formula I wherein X and Y are nitrogen and the other is oxygen; R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently hydrogen, alkyl or urea; R11 and R12 are each hydrogen, the other is hydrogen, hydroxy, optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, formyl or other complex, substituted or optionally substituted and optionally benzo-fused heteroatoms or a 5-membered heteroaromatic group containing one oxygen atom or one sulfur atom; R13 and R14 are hydrogen; J is oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen or -N-R15 wherein R15 is hydrogen, alkyl or (hydroxyalkoxy) methoxy; K and L are N or CH, with the proviso that at least one of them is different from CH if J is N and is attached to the ring J containing K, L and J; and p = 0 or 1 - and their enantiomers, diastereomers and salts thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions containing them having an endothelin receptor antagonist action.
