PURPOSE:To prevent decrease in fixing property for from a slow copying machine to a fast copying machine and to improve offset resistance by incorporating a polyester resin having an acid value as a binder resin and incorporating specified long-chain alkyl alcohols. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains a polyester resin having an acid value as a binder resin and also contains a long-chain alkyl alcohol having 10-120 mgKOH/g OH value or a long-chain alkylcaroboxylic acid having 5-120mg KOH/g acid value. The toner is prepared to satisfy the formula: acid value of the binder resin + OH value of the long-chain alkylalcohol >(1/4)XOH value of the binder resin, or the formula: acid value of the binder resin + OH value of the long-chain alkylcarboxylic acid >(1/4)XOH value of the binder resin. Namely, by using the long-chain alkylcarboxylic acid and/or long-chain alkylalcohol above described, the electrification rate is increased and the satd. charge amt. can be stabilized to a proper amt.
