The present invention relates to flame retardant thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compositions that are prepared by compounding certain TPUs and with a polyphosphonate polymer. The compositions further include a salt-containing, inherently dissipative polymer to provide a TPU composition that has flame retardant properties, electrostatic discharge performance, good clarity and/or transparency, or any combination thereof. The TPU compositions pass ASTM E84 Class 1 and UL94 V0 ratings.
