Advances in synthesis of chiral alcohols by carbonyl bioreduction
摘要:
Enantiopure secondary alcohols,as key intermediates,play an essential role in pharmaceutical,agrochemical,and chemical industries.Biocatalytic ketone reduction is being generally regarded as a green and effective access to enantiopure alcohols,due to mildness of reaction conditions and friendliness to environment.An increasing number of novel and robust enzymes become more easily accessible as a result of the ongoing progress in genomics,high-throughput screening,and directed evolution technologies.Advanced bioprocess engineering provide more opportunities for applying enzyme technologies to meet chiral challenges in synthetic chemistry.
