Placental transfer and body distribution of methylmercury and selenium in pregnant mice
摘要：
Placental transfer and body distribution of methylmercury and selenium were studied when pregnant mice were injected sc with each compound alone or with both compounds on the 15th day of pregnancy. Simultaneous injection of selenium produced a significant increase of methylmercury accumulation in the brain but produced a decrease of methylmercury in the fetus. On the other hand, simultaneous administration of methylmercury increased selenium accumulation both in the brain and the fetus.
