Informs that the sensitivity and kinetics of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha-induced apoptosis, or programmed cell death, are shown to be enchanced in a number of cell types expressing a dominant-negative IkappaBalpha. The activation of the transcription factor, NF-kappaB, and apoptosis; Findings suggesting that a negative feedback mechanism results from TNF-alpha signaling in which NF-kappaB activation suppresses the signals for cell death.
