The steel ball contains the following components in percentage by mass: 0.08-0.35% of C, 0.1-1.0% of Si, 0.35-1.5% of Mn, 0-0.05% of S, 0.-0.05% of P, 0.3-1.5% of Cr, 0.001-0.05% of Mo, 0.001-0.1% of Ti, 0.001-0.2% of V, 0.001-0.1% of Ni, 0.05-0.2% of Cu, 0.001-0.2% of Nb, 0.001-0.1% of W, 0.001-0.1% of Zn, 0.001-0.05% of Al and the balance of Fe. The steel ball obtained according to the preparation method is high in abrasive resistance, relatively long in service life, high in surface hardness, and not easy to break.
