PURPOSE: The title catalyst capable of manufacturing polypropylene and a propylene-based copolymer suitable for use in films excellent in heat sealing property, heat sealability, transparency and injection goods excellent in rigidity, impact resistance, fluidity and low temperature heat sealing property and process for producing an olefin polymer are provided, which produce olefin polymers having a wide molecular weight dispersion and high stereo-regularity in high yield.CONSTITUTION: The catalyst comprises (A) a solid titanium catalyst component comprising magnesium, titanium, halogen and one or more of polycarboxylic acid ester compounds selected from monoethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, monopropylene glycol and monoester or diester of dipropylene glycol as an internal electron donor, (B) an organic aluminium compound catalyst component, and (C) an organosilicone compound and/or polycarboxylic acid ester compounds as an external electron donor.
