The process is carried out by application of a mixture obtained by homogeneous mixing of (A) an aqueous composition containing H2O2, (B) a water-soluble or dispersible powder containing a water-soluble direct dye and/or an oxidation dye precursor and (C) a water-soluble or dispersible bleaching powder which contains ammonium-carbonate or -bicarbonate and/or Na carbonate or -bicarbonate.
