摘要：

Objective To investigate the influence of preoperative chemotherapy with 5 flumoro uracilum(5 FU) and citrovorum factor(CF) on apoptosis and proliferation of human gastric carcinoma cells. Methods Tissue samples of 35 patients with resectable gastric carcinoma before and after the preoperative chemotherapy with 5 FU and CF were processed to test apoptotic indices (AI) and PCNA expression using TdT mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) and immunohistochemical stainning. Results AI of tumor tissue after the preoperative chemotherapy was significantly higher than that before the chemotherapy. PCNA expression in human gastric carcinoma decreased significantly after the preoperative chemotherapy (P 0 01). Conclusion Preoperative chemotherapy with 5 FU and CF can induce apoptosis and inhibit proliferation of human gastric carcinoma.
