One precatalyst fits all! The ease-of-synthesis, high reactivity, and low cost of the PEPPSI (pyridine-enhanced precatalyst, preparation, stabilization, and initiation) precatalyst greatly improves the ease-of-use and reliability of the methodology based on the use of palladium N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes. M. Organ et el. report on its use in SuzukiMiyaura reactions on page 4743 ff. and in Negishi reactions on page 4749 ff.
