Complexes of stoichiometry [CuLX] where X=Cl, Br and L=2-acetylpyridine 4 N -diethyl- and 4 N -dipropylthiosemicarbazone, HL4DE and HL4DP, respectively, have substantially more activity against Aspergillus niger and Paecilomyces variotii than the uncomplexed thiosemicarbazones. Spectral data ( i.e. , i.r., u.v.vis., and e.s.r) of the complexes are presented along with thermodynamic data for the thiosemicarbazones.
