The invention concerns ester-modified, polyether-free organopolysiloxanes for use as water-in-oil, oil-in-water and water-in-silicone emulsifying or dispersing agents for cosmetic, pharmaceutical, cleaning etc. emulsions. Thus cocofatty acid was enzymically esterified with allyloxyethanol; the product was reacted with glycerinmonoallylether and a polymethylsiloxane in the presence of a Karstedt catalyst. The obtained glycerinmonoallylether-, and allyloxyethanol cocofatty acid ester-modified polymethylsiloxane was used in a cosmetic W/O emulsion as a 2.0 wt./wt.% ingredient with (wt./wt.%): hydrogenated castor oil 0.1; microcryst. wax 0.1; liq. paraffin 11.8; ethylhexyl palmitate 6.0; sodium chloride 0.8; glycerin 3.1; water 76.0; 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol.
