USE:Useful as an antilipemic agent, a preventing agent for arteriosclerosis, etc. having the activity of reducing the lipid in blood by inhibiting the biosynthesis of cholesterol. PROCESS:A compound of formula III (R<5> is protecting group of OH; R<6> is 2- methylbutyryl or protecting group of OH) is reacted with an oxime agent of the formula NH2OR<4>, and if desired the resultant compound is subjected to the removing reaction of the protecting groups of the hydroxyl groups and ring opening reaction of the lactonic part and give the compound of formulaI or II.
