A double-blind trial of haloperidol decanoate and pipothiazine palmitate in the maintenance treatment of schizophrenics in a public out-patient clinic.
摘要：
Evaluated the antipsychotic activity, mean maintenance dosage, and side effects of haloperidol decanoate (HD) as compared with pipothiazine palmitate (PP). 41 male schizophrenic patients (aged 19–50 yrs) received intramuscular injections of either HD (100 mg/mo) or PP (75 mg/mo). Therapeutic effects were evaluated with the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale and a clinical global impression. Results show that both drugs were effective in the maintenance treatment of schizophrenic outpatients. The mean dose of HD was 100 mg; for PP it was 65 mg.
