Determination of Lignin and Cellulose in Acid-Detergent Fiber with Permanganate
摘要：
Fibre obtained by the acid-detergent method is treated with buffered KMnO4 solution to oxidize lignin and with an alcoholic solution containing HC1 and oxalic acid to demineralise the fibre. Loss of organic matter is obtained by weighing. The method has several advantages and disadvantages compared with the method with 72% H2SO4 and choice depends upon the material.-A. H.
