摘要：

The participants agreed on: 1 the potential value of assaying estrogen receptor content in human mammary carcinomas for therapeutic guidance, 2. the urgency of fully establishing this relation and 3. the necessity of a joint effort towards achieving this goal within the earliest time possible. The charcoal adsorption technique was adopted as a first standard assay. A common protocol form will be used for clinical evaluation. All data will be pooled at the E.O.R.T.C. data bank, Institut Bordet, Brussels. Cooperation in the project is highly welcomed.
