Compounds of the formula R-(R<2>=)P(X)-OR<1> wherein R is an optionally substituted alkyl group, R<1> is an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted phenyl group, R<2> is oxygen or sulphur, and X is a leaving group, can be used as lipase inhibiting agents.
