Five New Species of Cumacean Crustacea, Genus Dimorphostylis(Diastylidae) from Sagami Bay
摘要:
1) Dimorphostylis manazuruensis sp. nov., (Figs. 1, 2) Type female with marsupium (length, 5.2 mm): The carapace is threefourths of the total length of animal and one-third as long again as its width, which is a little less than its depth. On the carapace there are oblique ridges armed with fine spinules. The first joint of peduncle of antennule is longer than the second and third combined or twice as long as the third. The second joint is one-third as long as the first. Two jointed flagellum is one-half as long again as one jointed accessory flagellum. The basis of third maxilliped is slightly longer than one-half as long again as the remaining distal joints together and furnished with two teeth on the distal portion. The basis of first peraeopod is armed with spines and spinules and one-half as long as the remaining distal joints together. The carpus is two-third as long as the basis. The propodus is as long as the carpus and merus combined. The dactylus is about two-seventh as long as the propodus. The basis of second peraeopod is expanded lateraly. The third to fifth peraeopods have no exopods. The peduncle of uropod is teo and one-half times as long as the last abdominal segment and furnished with nine or ten spines on the inner border. The endopod is one-third as long again as the exopod. Toe first joint of endopod is nearly as long as the subequal distal two joints combined. The telson is about one-half as long as the last abdominal segment. Male (length, 5.0 mm): In general the male specimen is very like the female, and furnished with similar armature. The carapace is about one-third of the total length of animal. The first joint of peduncle of antennule is as long as the second and third combined. Three jointed flagellum is one-third as long again as two jointed accessory flagellum. The basis of third maxilliped is one-third as long again as the remaining distal joints together. There is a tooth on each distol portion of basis, ischium and merus. The first four peraeopods have exopods. The basis of second to fourth peraeopods is expanded lateraly. The peduncle of uropod is twice as long as the last abdominal segment and furnished with eight spines on the inner border. The relson is four-fifths as long as the last abdominal segment. Occurrence: 1♀ (type specimen), off Manazuru, Feb. 17, '57; 1♀, 1♂, the same locality, depth about 20 m, sandy bottom, July 8, '57. 2) Dimorphostylis elegans sp. nov., (Figs. 3, 4) Type female (length, 5.1 mm): The integument is beset with fine granules. The carapace is about one-third of the total length of animal and nearly one-third as long again as its width, which is about as wide as its depth. There are three oblique ridges and many minute dark spots on the lateral surface of carapace. A paratype female specimen (length, about 5.4 mm) was disected and the appendages were observed. The first joint of peduncle of antennule is as long as the second and third combined. The second is about one-third as long as the first or one-half as long as the third. Four jointed flagellum is one-half as long as the third. Four jointed flagellum is one-half as long again as two jointed accessory flagellum. The basis of third maxilliped is shorter than one-half as long again as the remaining distal joints together. On each distal inner border of basis and ischium there are one or two teeth. The basis of first peaeopod is a little shorter than one-third as long as the remaining distal joints together. There are large teeth on the inner angle of basis and such teeth on each inner border of ischium and merus. The carpus is as long as the propodus. The dactylus is about two-thirds as long as the propodus. The last abdominal segment has a pair of spines on the posterior border. The peduncle of uropod is slightly longer than twice as long as the telson and furnished with seven spines on the inner border. The endopod is slightly longer than the exopod. The first joint of endopod is as long as the subequal di
