An approach is reported which affords conjugates of the dodecaborate anion with practically any oligosaccharide derivative containing amino group. The conjugate was synthesized by condensation of N-glycyl-β-lactosyl amine with dodecaborate carboxy derivative, [BHO(CH)CO]·3BuN, in (2:1) methanol-water mixture in the presence of DMT-MM as a condensing agent. The product was obtained in 57% yield and characterized by H, C, B{H} NMR and mass-spectra
