pKa values for a series of aminoalkyl(meth)acrylamides in aqueous water solutions were determined by potentiometric titration. The basicity of the amides increases with increasing hydrocarbon chain length between the amino- and amido groups. Taft constants σ*) of the (meth)acrylamido fragments are calculated. A correlation between the pKa values and the constants of the substituents at the amino nitrogen atom is revealed.
