摘要：

Results of experiments conducted over a four-year period as they relate to the important factors in composting. The experiments used closely controlled conditions of the various environmental parameters involved in composting so that their individual effects could be evaluated. Temperature, moisture content, free air space, paper content, detention time, recycle, pH, and nutrients were studied. The experimental procedures and temperature effects are described.
