Nowdays, agriculture role are no doubt again, it can be seen in agriculture sectors development in developing country, that have the biggest contribution in a country. The level of agriculture sector growth is very important and can determines other sectors or the whole economics sector. In this case these agriculture sector progress are helped and helping to other agriculture sectors growth. But, the real concerning matter are how agriculture sector growth influence other sectors growth in carry out agriculture sector itself. Potatoes production in Indonesia especially in Malang, East Java are engaged enough. It can be proofed that Malang is potato production central, where it must be know the obstacle and the problem that are faced by farmers. The goal in this study are to know total of cost, income and outcome along with analising the efficiency of potato farmer effort in Gubuk Klakah region, Poncokusumo subdistrict, Malang regency. This study is conducted in Gubuk Klakah region, that most field being planted by potatoes. Sample collected use simple random sampling. Each potato farmer have a same chance to be respondent sample that being tested. The number of sample are 40 respondents. The are two kinds data used, that are primer data and secunder data. Primer data are provided by questionnair result and interview while secunder data provided by region office and local apparatus. The method that used to know farmer effort of potato are cost analysis, income analysis, outcome analysis, efficiency analysis. Then to testing efficiency potential farmer effort of potato are used mean difference test (t test). Farmer effort cost of potato in Gubuk Klakah region Poncokusumo subdistrict Malang regency are Rp. 26.140.000,00/ha with income are Rp. 45.000.000,00 and the profit are Rp. 18.600.000,0/ha.
