Lack of polyadenylic acid sequences in the messenger RNA of E. coli
摘要：
The messenger RNA of Escherichia coli polyribosomes was analyzed by a variety of methods for the presence of sequences of polyadenylic acid. No such sequences were detected in the bulk (>99%) of the mRNA population. This finding is discussed with respect to the possible role of poly A in determining the stability of messenger RNA in eukaryotes.
