The enantioselective copper-catalyzed conjugate additions and allylic substitution reactions, which are used for the formation of new stereogenic C-C bonds, have been presented. The development of highly efficient new copper catalytic systems are obtained by exploring several ligand types, copper sources, and reaction conditions. Efforts to enlarge the scope of the substrates and nucleophiles are also made to increase the potential of their use in the synthesis of more complex chiral organic molecules.
