A permanently tacky terpolymer consisting of (a) 30 to 40 parts by weight of vinyl acetate, (b) 20 to 35 parts by weight of a monoalkyl ester of an a,,8-ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid having 3 to 5 carbon atoms wherein the alkyl moiety contains 7 to 12 carbon atoms and (c) 30 to 40 parts by weight of .a dialkyl ester of an a,,8-ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid having 3 to 5 carbon atoms wherein each alkyl moiety contains 7 to 12 carbon atoms.
