Hydrogen Production by Partial Oxidation of Methanol over Au-Pd/ZnO-CeO_2 Catalyst
摘要:
The Au-Pd catalysts were prepared by PVP-stabilized reduction method by C2H5OH.The effects of CeO2 on the catalytic performance of Au-Pd/ZnO catalyst for partial oxidation of methanol were studied.BET,XRD,TPR,H2-TPD and CH3OH-TPD were used to characterize the catalysts. The results show that the addition of CeO2 could improve the activity and hydrogen selectivity of the Au-Pd/ZnO catalyst for partial oxidation of methanol. The Au-Pd/ZnO-CeO2 catalyst exhibits higher hydrogen selectivity compared to Au-Pd/ZnO catalyst. The enhanced activity of Au-Pd/ZnO-CeO2 catalyst was due to the addition of CeO2 which could improve the dispersion of the Au2O3,PdO and AuxPdyO on the support, increase the adsorption of Au-Pd/ZnO catalyst for methanol, and reduce the desorption of the catalyst for hydrogen, all these were advantageous to the enhancement of activity.
