摘要:

The article focuses on adverse localized cutaneous reactions occurring from injection of therapeutic materials. Localized adverse reactions to local anesthesia include allergic reactions and technique-related reactions. Infection, abscess formation, nerve injury, necrosis and gangrene are some of the cutaneous reactions occurring from injection of anesthetics. Allergic reactions to local anesthetics are rare accounting for about 1 percent of adverse effects from local anesthesia. The author informs that localized superficial skin necrosis may result from superficial injection of corticosteroid. But the mechanism of how this occurs is not known to scientists yet.
