摘要：

Developments in the large scale production of hydrogen by water electrolysis are reviewed with particular reference to an advanced electrolysis technology based on the use of a solid polymer electrolyte cell originally developed for aerospace fuel cell and electrolysis applications. It is shown that the advanced solid polymer electrolyte technology has the potential to reduce the cost of electrolytic hydrogen from $15-20 to $9-13 per MBTU.
