摘要:
The rotational temperature can be computed from the relative intensities of rotational spectrum lines. A few molecules are excited by an electron beam ; an optical device including a grating spectrometer provides, at any point of an aerodynamic field, the recording of this spectrum. This technique has been applied to gas temperature measurement in a small continuous hypersonic wind tunnel equipped with this electron beam probe. These studies were concerned with the definition of a simple model for calculating this temperature, eliminating as best as possible the systematic errors. This model is compared with those making use of a more complex computation program. The temperatures obtained compare well with the real values if the ΔN = 1 and 3 excitation transitions are taken into account ; a simplified computation method leads very quickly to the temperature without any need for computer programming.
