"Sm-Nd isotope study of chloroform bitumen in various energy minerals of the Ordos basin" written by PAN Ai-fang et al. was published in "Geology in China" in 2007. They concluded that chloroform bitumen of various energy minerals in Caboniferous-Jurassic strata was derived from the enriched mantle on the basis of Sm-Nd isotopic compositions of chloroform bitumen in oil, coal, uranium-bearing sandstone and their country rocks in the Ordos Basin. Nevertheless, based on re-calculation by corrected methods, the authors have reached the conclusion that the chloroform bitumen resulted from the mixture between the anatexis products of the basin's basement and the younger accreted materials from the depleted mantle, rather than from the enriched mantle.
